Aaron and Cindy Wilcox and Mya |
|
Aaron and Cindy Wilcox came to
be involved in missions and Dayspring through very different ways.
Aaron felt a growing curiosity and calling
into missions during his high school years. He gave a speech at his high
school baccalaureate about his calling into missions, but lack of
direction. Coincidently, Roger Tomlinson was there in the audience ready
to help Aaron find some direction. After baccalaureate,
Rogers’s
son Wade invited Aaron to spend his first summer out of high school on
the mission field. Without knowing Spanish, ministry skills, or having
any useful tools to help him Aaron ended up in the DMT class of 06 where
he began to develop his calling and passion for Mexico.
Cindy graduated from
Joplin
High School
in 2005.
After High school she attended Missouri
Southern State University for 3 semesters.
During this time she felt like she wasn’t
doing what God was calling her to do.
A “charming young missionary” happened to be
home visiting his family and encouraged Cindy to think about DMT. After
lots of prayer she felt the calling into missions and ended up at the
DMT School in Jan of 2007.
After beginning their life together as husband and wife, Aaron and Cindy
were blessed by the arrival of their daughter, Mya, on September 11,
2008. Aaron, Cindy and Mya make a great team and are called to minister
on Isla del Viejo, Oaxaca, Mexico. They hope that God will use their
family to show God’s love in a place where sin has torn families apart.
They are currently in the United
States preparing for their return to Mexico and the mission field.
