Kevin
made his first mission trip with Dayspring in 1989. While continuing
to make trips with Dayspring he began sensing a calling to the mission
field. After spending a year with "Youth with a
Mission" and making two mission trips with them to Belarus, he
answered the call to full time mission work.
Jenny
received a mission call when she was only six years old. After
making several short-term missions trips while in high school, she went to
mission training at "Youth with a Mission". She made three
trips to Belarus with YWAM and afterward went on staff with them, serving
over one year working with teenage girls with crises pregnancies.
Kevin
and Jenny met at YWAM and after a year of marriage moved to McAllen, Texas
to begin language study. On completing school, they have worked
full time for Dayspring Outreach. They lived in La Haciendita, Nuevo
Leon, Mexico. There they opened a youth center and pioneered a youth
ministry named “EL PUENTE”. Kevin was also a worship leader for adult
and youth services and taught discipleship in various churches as doing
youth camps and working with summer missions trips throughout the summer.
In
December of 2002 their son Aiden was born. In May of 2003 they moved to
the border and began developing unity and leadership and growth among our
churches in Reynosa, Taumalipas, Mexico. They are also doing youth
ministry and organizing camps and retreats for our Mexican churches.
Their vision for the future is church planting
and cell group ministry as well as helping churches on both sides of the
border develop and walk out city reaching strategies by taking the kingdom
of God out of the church and into every facet of our communities.
